Billing timezone
How Lisbon time governs all charges and expirations
ORYKSA AI uses one rule for all charges, renewals and trial expirations: Europe/Lisbon (Portugal) timezone, at midnight (23:59:59).
Why: the company that operates the platform (W8 Atlantic Unipessoal Lda) is based in Lisbon, and invoicing is issued from Portugal. Keeping a single billing timezone across the system avoids ambiguity and disputes.
What this means in practice:
- If your trial ends on the 5th, it ends at 23:59:59 Lisbon time on the 5th: regardless of whether you live in Brazil, Mexico or Japan.
- A monthly renewal on a paid plan always happens at the same Lisbon hour on the signup day.
Important: your personal timezone:
In your dashboard you can set your own timezone (Profile → Timezone). That timezone affects ONLY:
- The time the AI uses for greetings ("good morning" vs "good afternoon") when talking to your customers.
- The availability hours your customers see (Availability).
- Meeting/appointment bookings with customers.
Your personal timezone never affects billing or trial expiration. Those are always Lisbon.
Example: assistant in São Paulo (UTC−3) with a trial created on day 1 at 2pm Lisbon.
- Trial expires: day 8 at 23:59:59 Lisbon = day 8 at 7:59:59pm São Paulo.
- AI talks to customers using São Paulo time (set in profile).
- Availability shown to end-customers is in São Paulo.
