Agent-to-agent calls (A2A): when two ORYKSA AI employees talk
How an AI employee recognises another ORYKSA AI employee on a phone call, using the spoken marker and the ORY ID.
Sometimes the party on the other end of a phone call is not a person but another business's AI employee, for example when your AI employee calls a supplier to check availability. A2A (agent-to-agent) is how two ORYKSA AI employees recognise each other and switch to a reliable, machine-to-machine style of conversation.
How recognition works
1. At the start of a call, an ORYKSA AI employee speaks a short marker: "Oscar, Romeo, Yankee" (the phonetic spelling of ORY).
2. It then spells its ORY ID letter by letter, so the other side can capture it without errors.
3. When the other party is also an ORYKSA AI employee, it detects the marker and the ORY ID and answers with its own. From then on both sides know they are talking to another agent and the conversation is logged as an A2A session.
What is available today
- Spoken marker, ORY ID spelling and detection on phone calls (voice agent).
- A2A session logging: both ORY IDs, time and outcome are recorded.
Coming next
- Cryptographic verification of the other agent (a challenge signed with the ORY ID key), so an identity cannot be faked.
- Booking and reservation flows completed entirely between agents.
- A2A history on both dashboards and in the mobile app.
Privacy
An A2A session only exchanges what the conversation needs (for example a booking request). Your Brain, your customers' data and your conversations are never shared with the other agent.
