ORYKSA Gamer emulator: play games from classic consoles
ORYKSA Gamer is ORYKSA's retro emulator: it opens inside your chat and lets you play your own classic console games, with nothing to install.
How to open it
- In the chat with your ORYKSA, type or say: "I want to play on the emulator".
- ORYKSA shows an ORYKSA Gamer card. Tap it.
- Tap Open a game from this device and choose the game file. Zip and 7z files work too.
- The game starts in a small window. Tap Full screen (the ⛶ button) to play bigger and Close (the × button) to leave.
You do not need to say which console it is: ORYKSA Gamer works it out from the file itself.
Privacy
- The game opens on this device only. It is never sent to ORYKSA.
- ORYKSA does not provide or keep games. Use copies of games you own.
- The list of recent games is kept on your device only.
Available systems
ORYKSA Gamer works with these systems:
- NES
- Super Nintendo
- Game Boy / Color
- Game Boy Advance
- Nintendo 64
- Nintendo DS
- Virtual Boy
- PlayStation
- Master System / Game Gear
- Saturn
- Atari 2600

- Atari Jaguar
- PC Engine

How to play
- On a phone or tablet: tap the buttons that appear on the screen.

- The ? button opens the help inside ORYKSA Gamer. In it, the link Read the full article opens this article.
Recent games
The games you open stay in the On this device list, so you can go back to them with one tap. The list stays on your device only, and you can delete any game from it. A very large file opens, but it is not kept in the list.
Why some systems are not available
Not every system is in ORYKSA Gamer, for two reasons:
- Non-commercial licenses. Some emulators only allow non-commercial use, and ORYKSA is a commercial service. This is the case for the Mega Drive (Genesis), arcade games and the 3DO.
- BIOS. Other systems, such as the Atari 5200 and the ColecoVision, need a BIOS file that ORYKSA cannot provide.
If you open a file from one of these systems, ORYKSA Gamer explains the reason and shows the systems that work.
Troubleshooting
- "This file is not a game for any of these consoles": the file was not recognized. Check that it is really the game file and that the system is in the list above.
- "... is not available": it is one of the systems explained above.
- The game is slow: close other tabs and apps. Newer systems, such as the Nintendo 64, the PlayStation, the Nintendo DS and the Saturn, ask more of the device.
- The Atari Jaguar is slow to start: that is normal. Wait a moment.
- No sound: tap the screen once and check that the device sound is on. Browsers only allow sound after a tap.
- The button does not respond: try an up-to-date browser.
